This March, Paolo Seganti returns to As The World Turns as Damian Grimaldi. According to Soap Opera Digest, his character will primarily interact with his son Luke (Van Hansis), Lily (Noelle Beck), Lucinda (Elizabeth Hubbard) and Noah (Jake Silbermann).

Seganti's previous storyline had Damian returning to deal with Luke's then ongoing problems. Initially viewers were lead to believe Damian returned to "straighten" out his gay son. Damian clashed with Holden (Jon Hensley) and Lily (then Martha Byrne) over how to handle Luke. It was eventually revealed he was after his son's inheritance. Damian manipulated Luke by attempting to turn him against Lily and Holden, making him believe Lily wanted to send him to a anti-gay camp. Luke confronted his mother (who was pregnant at the time) in anger and after a struggle she fell down the stairs. Luke blamed himself for the accident. When he learned there was no truth to what Damian told him, he kicked his father out of his life, causing Damian to leave town.

Seganti's last appearance on ATWT was August 16, 2006. One can only hope Damian has changed during his time away and attempts to have a normal relationship with his son.
