Morgan Fairchild will put in guest appearances on CBS's The Bold and the Beautiful. The veteran actress will play a Beverly Hills socialite named Dottie. It's being reported her character will befriend Stephanie (Susan Flannery) and will be instrumental in setting off a fashion war between Jackie M and Forrester. She will air August 10th through August 14th.
Fairchild is no stranger to daytime, having appeared on Search for Tomorrow, The City and General Hospital in addition to starring on primetime soaps Paper Dolls, Falcon Crest and Flamingo Road.
In other casting news:
Patrick Duffy and Robin Riker will return on June 24th and 25th as Stephen and Beth Logan. The grandparents return for their granddaughter Bridget's (Ashley Jones) wedding to Nick (Jack Wagner).
Rick Hearst will make his re-debut on B&B next month on July 17th. According to Soap Opera Digest, Whip will show up at the Jackie M office. Rick called his departure from General Hospital "very sad" as the actor enjoyed playing Ric Lansing for the past seven years.
The actor was quoted in SOD saying, "It was a good run, but I believe when I was put on recurring, there wasn't a determination of where they wanted the character to go."
