Liason Fans Speak Out Part 1

Liason Fans Speak Out Part 1!
BY: RYAN CHANDLER|EDITOR-IN-CHIEF
Wednesday, December 10, 2008, 12:05 AM

Thank you to SonnyBrenda for sending these in to me. These are a collection of posts from around the net regarding General Hospital and Jason and Elizabeth. There was an overwhelming response from both fans of Liason, JaSam and fans of the show itself. Each group will get their own mailbag entries. Part II of Liason Fans Speak Out and Part II of JaSam fans speak out will be posted later tonight.

I deleted the show off my DVR a month ago.  Don't know if it will make a difference or not the but the show is a HUGE crapfest.   I don't even yt [YouTube] anymore.  Not worth wasting my time.   The storylines either drag on forever or are dropped completely. Since when is sweeps about redeeming ONE character??  It was like this summer and them shoving loo loo down our throats.  I would love to enjoy the show again and when they begin writing it for the whole cast and carry some decent stories I will absolutely tune in again." -Posted by ABC msg board poster, PlsKillSamOff

After 30 years I am done.  Liason is gone and so am I. -JasLiz3

I have pretty much been done with this show for the past couple of weeks. I saw the warnings months ago and didn't want to believe it but knew in my heart the writers would screw Liason fans once again..........and they did! Frons and Guza are so off the wall it's not even funny. Rebecca Herbst rocked her scenes today but what Elizabeth said to Patrick was beyond belief. There they go making liars out of the characters again, re-writing history and insulting the intelligence of the audience!

I have not dvr'd GH for 2 weeks now. I hate this show beyond belief. I couldn't even watch the montage on you tube........totally made me sick. Steve and Becky have my support in whatever they do out of GH but I cannot stomach supporting the crappy stuff they have been given and what they have done to Liason. I cannot believe what this show has come to. It's a disgrace." -JnLhatespam

After 30 years I've already stopped watching.  The name should definitely be changed.  It's all MOB and I'm sick of it.  I don't mind it being part of the show but it's 'been' the show all year. Love and adventure and family - those were the good old days.  Some could say I'm getting old. I say, I miss good actors with good story lines. -Cillabd

I'm done as well, and yes Liason is a big part of why I am through, but it's not the only reason. Like Crispy said we have enough violence in the real world, we don't need it on our show too." -Boo_buriedLuLulLilasrosegarden

GH used to be the show I'd be most excited to watch when I got home from work. Sadly that is not the case. The promo they ran with Jason and Elizabeth and other couples all about love earlier this fall was fantastic! I was so excited that maybe the couples I love would be written for. Three weeks ago, I stopped dvring GH. The show was clearly doing the opposite of what they had promoted. In a world filled with violence, I watch television to escape that. GH however glorifies violence, and criminal characters. The current story where they are making Sam, who committed pretty horrible crimes that involved guns, against children, into the savior of the child she watched get kidnapped, is reprehensible. Sam was the reason the fast forward button was created. And GH is now the reason I hit the OFF button. - JasonElizabethMorgan

If GH wants to keep viewers in the future, they better stop recycling stories from the past. I was loving Lucky/Sam and Jason/Elizabeth! But this sweeps story was out of left field, contrived, and made no sense. If General Hospital is going to play musical couples, then this viewer is out of this game. I watch GH for the love stories they made famous, classics like Sonny/Carly, Sonny/Brenda, Jason/Elizabeth, Patrick/Robin.-DisAppointedGH

Elizabeth brings out the goodness in Jason, which we rarely see due to GH's focus on the mob. It's fine to have a show about the mob, but some happy moments, and love stories need to be given equal importance. I'd rather watch a mobster who's also shown to be in love and with his family, than one who goes around just shooting stuff up every single sweeps. Redundancy is not good television. -LizFF

I must say that I'm hanging up my posting fingers b/c after 35 years of watching GH, the last 2 years have been horrible, I don't recognize this soap opera anymore and all the flipping of scripts to showcase non-talented actors/actresses is the chitpit, while veterans are backburned and premier characters are killed off.

Yes I'm a true Liason Fan and proud to admit it. I have waited 10 + years for this couple to "finally" be a couple. Now I have been jerked around b/c TPTB decided that fans don't garner an afterthought.

There are no happy couples anymore, not even Scrubs is happy. There is an overabundance of mob violence that is dominating the show. If I want to see daily violence I can tune into the news or walk out my door. I want to be able to tune into GH to escape for an hour to romance, laughter, intrigue & mystery, not all this violence or the shooting or kidnapping of children. Add to the fact, all these inconsequential newbies they keeping bringing to the show to shove down my throat. Why not accentuate the actors you have on contract and quit bringing back old favorites making them into new characters that just don't cut it." - Crispy829

We have been voted on MANY Soap sites and TvGuide Website as ONE of the BIGGEST fan bases... JaSam fans can walk around half smiling now, but in the end, liason will smile brightly and when we do, close your blinds baby cause it will be bright in the city!

LIASON ARE THE COUPLE FOR 2009
I have loved Liason since the days when Liz believed Lucky was dead and Jason was the person who touched her soul. These two belong together. Soaps aren't about "the same" kind of people being a couple. What makes a great soap couple is two opposites who love each other thru their differences, and that is Liz and Jason. Jason doesn't need to be with a woman who over looks his killing. He is better than that and Liz knows it. As a fan of this show I am barely hanging in there hope that the show gets it right FINALLY for Liason.

GH missing the boat
Jasam's ugly break up in jail got a bump, Lucky/Jason fighting over Jake's paternity got a bump, Liason straddle scenes got a bump.

i think that's what interest people with the quad, but for some reason that escapes me, they just wont write about those things.

They wont write a true lucky/jason rivalry, for what reason I dont know. It's way too soft and fuzzy between those two men they should hate each other.

they wont write romantic liason, for what reason I dont know.

they wont write Sam as the troublemaking b*tch which is what Kelly is good at and the audience responds to with her she was really interesting during that time she was involved in the kidnapping etc and since LuSam and this silly stuff with her needing to be saved once a week she's just blah again.

they're slashing their own throats by not writing what, imo, people really want to see with the quad and what people actually respond to with the ratings not just write in with campaigns about.

Barely Recognize GH
The current writing on GH is damaging the show in my opinion, specifically characters and their history. Jason would never go back to Sam not even be friends with her, and Liz would not go back to Lucky after saying it was a mistake to marry him the first time because she loved Jason and she would not have said the things she did about not knowing Jason cause if anyone knows Jason it is Elizabeth. She saved him how many times in the past she knows who he is and always did. The writing is contrived, the stories are weak and GH is not the show I used to love to watch. So I no longer watch. I barely recognize GH, and am sickened by it.

LIASON BELONG TOGETHER! MY EMAIL TO THE POWERS THAT BE:
(this was originally sent in 2 separate emails to each):

Dear Ms. Sweeney and Mr. FRONS,

I am writing to about my favorite soap- my escape from reality after a bad day at work- GH.

I am very distraught by the latest turn of events of breaking of Liason again for the billionth time in Dec 2008. I have been a loyal viewer of GH since 1997 and fan of Liason for 9 yrs. I stuck by through the Courtney years, through the Sam years, through the Ric years and the latest LNL2 marriage in 2006. I always watched w/ hopes that my favorite "make me root for you" couple - Liason- would finally get together. The chemistry that Jason and Liz (and Becky and Steve) share on screen is unparalleled to any couple since Brenda and Sonny in my opinion. But hey at least Brenda and Sonny had a REAL chance to share a life together for a while and had moments of happiness.

Liason's moments of happiness are for about 2 seconds and then cut short. It is an absolute out and out rip-off! Why are they (Frons and Guza) screwing with the Liason fanbase this way? Obviously they have some secret agenda for their girl Sam (kelly monaco), who is the most ridiculous underdeveloped character on the canvas. She HAD her chance at happiness w/ Jason for 2 YEARS! They lived together, said their "I love you's", were a family (minus kids) for all that time. So why should they get a SECOND chance when Liason hasn't even gotten ONE chance at a really family life and living together?

Yes I was very happy when Liz had Jason's child. Ecstatic is more the word. However instead of tapping into this gold mine of a storyline they had in front of you, they continued to do this "push, pull" with them for the past 2 yrs. They actually saw each other more when she was pregnant and kept running into Jase on the docks, at the coffee warehouse etc then after she had the Jake. He got to spend maybe a total of 3 visits with his son.

The reason I feel in love w/ the character of Jason Morgan lo many years ago was not because of his looks, but b/c of the way he was protrayed as a heart of gold father to baby Michael. So why on earth would you deny the fans the pleasure of seeing Jason Morgan "father part 2" denied?? Jake is now 1 1/2 yrs old and has spend barely any bonding time w/ his father. I don't want to see Lucky bonding w/ the boys that aren't his. Jake is Jason's FLESH AND BLOOD. That has got to count for something!

I have enjoyed their scenes over the past few years, but have never gotten the full PAYOFF that this Liason fan deserves. And I am talking about a REAL family life for Liason! Watch the new and reincarnated Patrick and Robin and that is what I am talking about! Jason should be able to spend time w/ Jake and Cam and the love of his life Elizabeth. Yes he is a criminal, so manage to write something that incorporates all of this. I don't see Sonny being celebate all these years. Sure he's had his problems, but he has still had moments of happiness w/ his children Morgan and Michael and Carly when they were married. There are MANY dangerous professions in this world- cops, fireman, FBI agents etc and they all manage to have family and children and NO they are not ALWAYS target as you have Jason continually say. If I have to hear the "my life is too dangerous for you" speech one more time, I will scream. It's too much! Oh but that same life ISN'T too dangerous for clumsy, always in trouble Sam?

So for 2009, I want to see my couple Liason FINALLY together. And when I say that I don't mean random secret meeting or running into each other with longing looks at the hospital (however that does add to the angst). I want them married (or not), living together w/ their kids. I want love in the afternoon w/ Jason and Liz. I want Jason spending time w/ his son Jake and also w/ Cam (b/c he's just TOO cute for words!) Yes Jason will still have his mob job and it will get in the way at times, but let them be together for it all and fight together as a family unit! Yes I know this is a soap opera and it won't last forever, but give them a year or two to play this out on our screens. I am imploring you to do this. When I hear about them setting Liz up with some suitors and Jason sharing a kiss w/ Olivia so soon after Liason's heart-wrenching break up at the courthouse where Jason actually cried REAL tears (I dont seem to remember him doing this w/ Sam). Or Jason and Sam reuniting after Jason said "he would kill her" a year ago, makes me sick to my stomach. Please change the storylines around and here's to a Liason STORYLINE in 2009! Please make mine and many others' dreams come true!

I have stopped watching GH and will not come back until I read that Liason will be back together again. Please make this happen. YOU HAVE THE POWER TO DO SO!

Thank you for your time and for listening,
A HUGE Liason fan

Complete Crap
For Jason to EVER return to the woman he completely abandoned when he realized he could finally have Liz, then threatened twice to kill is so completley out of character that the ratings reflect what BS people think this is. Liason fans, Liz fans and many Jason fans finally turned off their televisions. The show cannot survive on a 2.0 rating and a 1.2 demo. The show is done. They screwed over the biggest and most loyal fanbase for the last time. Jason's character is ruined, Sam looks more pathetic than ever and again a replacement for the woman they really want and that is Liz.

Missing Liason So Much
Actually this comment is too the poster Sharon,

Hi Sharon, just wanted you to know that your not alone and so many other fans feel the sameway you do. GH has stabbed us in our hearts one too many times and it's unbearable to even think about watching GH right now knowing they have destroyed the best couple on daytime television. Anyway, please be encouraged to know your not alone in your love for Liason. TIIC have destroyed their love for now but they can't destroy the many memories and all the YT scenes we have.

Jason and Elizabeth - Uncondional Love
Up until recently Jason and Elizabeth were a couple who represented a couple with uncondional love. They accepted each other for 9 years in a friendship that turned to love. The kidnapping story ruined them because Sam and Lucky were in the story. It should have brought them together with their son but it ended them for Sam's redemtion. I have watched this show for 30 years and regret one thing: I fell in love with this Couple. I don't know how they expect me to watch the show ever again. I can't stand watching Jason with Sam. I hung in their for 2 years waiting for them to be together married with Jake. I can't understand why GH cant write them together like this some how. If they can write a stupid ending with Sam they could give me 6 months of happiness with Jason and Elizabeth together with Jake. I think GH has stabbed me in the heart by ending this couple. Now they feed me salt to my wound and it hurts everyday. I have stopped watching the show because I can't stand how they are ruining Jason and Elizabeth. I think GH writes and producers are clueless to what they have done in regards to fans of this couple and Jason and Sam. We fight online all the time about our couples. I think it is sad, if they would have given us some time of happiness as a family I wouldn't be bothered by Sam going back with Jason. It is so unbelievable to me and there is no way I will ever watch again. Unless they get a clue and reunite this Uncondional Love Couple that is in daytime TV.

I don't get the Sun-Times, so if anybody who does can keep an eye on the paper and let us know if the ad appears again tomorrow... very much appreciated!

Give Liason the chance they deserve
I have watched Liason since they first met in the boxcar, and even then the chemistry of these two characters has kept me watching day after day. Even when they were in other relationships, their chemistry kept coming through time after time. They most definately deserve a happy ending after all this time. We as fans should get the opportunity to watch it happen. I'm am so dissappointed in how this has all been played out. Please put the Morgan/Webber family back together where they belong.

Liz and Jason belong together
I too have watched GH for over 20 years and the writing has gotten steadily worse and worse. This last sweeps, TERRIBLE...writing a whole show around redeeming 1 sleazy character.Soaps are supposed to be about love, family and relationships, and of course maybe the upheaval and mob in doses. However, lately it's been ALL about violence, kidnapping etc. The Jason and Liz relationship is magical and realistic after a 10 year build-up; it's wasted AGAIN!!!For what; the redemption of a favored actress by a certain producer????What about what we fans want??The writers have a gold mine right under their noses and can't even see this???Read some fanfic; they do a 100% better job than these "professional" writers. And it's not just the Jason and Liz relationship; I agree with everyone else who feels they've destroyed veteran actors and actresses because they cannot show a true balance in using ALL the characters instead of just a few "favored" players. In my opinion, Jason is being made to look like a DEADBEAT JERK for not finding someway to claim his family. Also, if they were true to his character, he would NEVER go back to the woman who tried to harm his family.
Anyway, I also agree Steve and Becky should find another soap that appreciates their brilliant portrayals of their characters, this mess is not their fault, and I know I along with ALOT of former fans of GH will be following them or just watching another soap that knows the meaning of a good balanced soap opera..I for one will not watch again until Liz and Jason are raising THEIR children under one roof like a real family, facing their challenges together. Thank-you/nancy,ct.

The Self-destruction of General Hospital
The Self-destruction of General Hospital.

I have watched GH loyally for over 30 years. I absolutely loved it.
There was no soap anywhere whose storylines and character choices could compete with GH.
They had core families and a lot of family drama, love, heartache, action, and the usual backstabbing, adultery, secret affairs, secret children, the stuff great soap opera is all about.

General Hospital told memorable stories, BJ's heart, Monica's breast cancer and way too many to name here but the point is, GH, once upon a time, told compelling stories that caused me to cry, laugh and jump with joy with these characters down through the years.
They told wonderful stories of love and romance, Alan and Monica, Anna and Robert, Anna and Duke, Frisco and Felicia, Sonny and Brenda, Jason and Elizabeth, Luke and Laura, just to name a few. They created some of the most memorable couples of all time.

But no more. For some reason, over the last few years General Hospital has started to self-destruct and destroy everything that was once great about the show.

They have decimated the magnificent Quartermaine family which is a shame. The Q's never failed to bring it when it came to drama, family angst or humor. I will never forget Tracey refusing Edward his heart meds when he was having a heart attack on the floor, or Alan changing his mind about dropping a house on his cheating wife and her lover and trying to get there to warn them.
The always hilarious pizza for every thanksgiving was always one of my faves. Then there was Monica's cancer story and Jason's accident. Good stuff I will never forget.
GH has taken away the fabulously corny annual Nurses Ball, the annual Christmas reading at GH and killed off great characters, Alan Quartermaine, Georgie Jones, and Emily Q for no good reason.

All the wonderful family drama, love and romance and creative storytelling have been replaced in the last few years with non-stop violence against women and children, explosions, shootings and absolutely redundant, worn out mob stories.
General Hospital once wove interesting stories that revolved around the doctors and nurses at the hospital, the people who ran and and patronized Kelly’s diner, The Hardy, Webber and Quartermaine families, and the seedy underworld of the mob.
There was something for everyone.
Now all the things that made General Hospital great has been taken away and replaced with done to death, mediocre mob stories. Every single character is connected to the mob stories somehow or they don’t have a story.
Great characters with the potential for great stories, languish on the back burner because they are not a part of the gangsters paradise that GH has become.

Just in the last two years, women have been murdered by strangulation, shot, stabbed, run over with cars. Children have been shot in the head and kidnapped over and over again, and this has been in just the last two years!
Every single family has been broken apart, none of the children have their male parent living in the home with them.

General Hospital was once this hopeless romantic’s retreat at the end of a long day.

To turn on my tape and watch my favorite families and couples struggle with their issues was once a treat.
Now I fast forward through all the mob talk and violence and find out sometimes that I have just FFed through the whole show because there are no more family stories –unless-- there was a scene with the only great couple left, Jason and Elizabeth, good girl nurse and bad boy mob enforcer, a magnetically, classic soap opera couple.

Now GH just made the huge mistake of destroying the last truly romantic, classically soapy couple on the show, Jason and Elizabeth, after years of stringing the viewers along with the possibility of actually making them a family, and this development has also destroyed my desire to continue watching this show.

Jason and Elizabeth's story was the last thread of light that kept me attached to the black hole that General Hospital has become.

I have sadly walked away from this show that I loved for over 30 years because there is truly nothing left to love about it anymore.

If I want to see women strangled, stabbed and assaulted and 12 year old children shot in the head, I can just look out my front door and see what’s going on in my city.

GH used to be a glorious escape for one hour of the day. Now it is just a depressing hole of violence.

Liason is Love and We Believe In The Power of Love
Ok, this email is to TPTB, Mr. Frons, Mr. Guza

I just want to know who I should send my medical bills to because you guys are making my blood pressure rise daily. Is this some kind of conspiracy to see if the Liason fans will loose faith in Liason and just drop their campaign of wanting to see them together as a family? We've been waiting for this couple for 9+ years so giving up is NOT Happening. I know you all know that Liason IS the BEST ROMANTIC Couple (oh excuse me) Non-Couple on Daytime Television. Liason's Chemistry is just so awesome, you get these goose-bumps at their very screen presents. Liason makes you feel alive, Liason makes you remember how wonderful true love can really be, Liason makes you believe in romance and love again.
Liason makes you believe that "Love Can Be Enough"

Please Give Liason a "REAL" Chance At Love
WOW! Liason is an amazing, great, once in a lifetime type love STORY, They have been through more not being together than most couples on the show and yet they still have this deep and undeniable connection.
No other couple on GH generates so much chemistry without uttering a word. Their scenes as always speaks volumes...this couple doesn't even need dialogue to get across what is going on between the two of them. The two are in each others heart....the love they share is strong together he has her and she has him!!

PLEASE PLEASE GIVE THEM A CHANCE AT LOVE!

Thank you

I want a Morgan Family reunion
I have been watching GH off and on for 25 years. I am sold on Liason. It is frustrating we get so close to a reconnection and an amazing story and then things are pulled away.

I hope the writers and producers change their minds. GIve Liason a chance.

Another GH Viewer Gone
My name is Giselle, I'm 38 years old and live in Trinidad & Tobago in the West Indies. I first started watching GH in 2002 when visiting my cousin in Miami, mainly by force because my cousin was an avid viewer who taped the show whilst at work, and if I wanted any time with her when she came home, I had to sit through AMC & then GH. I should first tell you that I was very scornful of Soaps and the ridiculous storylines which focused on sensationalism & unrealistic plots or happenings inorder to garner viewers. That being said, whereas AMC left me cold, I started to focus on the character of Jason Morgan, first because I found he was hot, but then because of the total reversal of characteristics he showed when interacting with Elizabeth Webber. The "Stone Cold" mien he wore like a second skin, would be totally absent when with Liz & the tenderness and sincere affection could not be hidden. I became very invested in watching their story unfold, to the point that when I returned home to T&T I started taping the show during work, so that I wouldn't miss a second of it. Just as my interest was building, enter Courtney Matthews. I shrugged it off & reminded myself, that it's a Soap. Then came Sam. I must say that I didn't like this character at all, which the writing of her outline obviously intended. Then she was thrust into the vicinity of Jason and for 3 years I managed to continue viewing, though not as faithfully. When 2006 hit us with the Night of Passion for Jason & Elizabeth, I returned to faithfully watching GH. This was a story that I found took GH out of the "Soap Opera" cliche which I abhorred. This was the love & relationship I could watch without feeling it was forced. These two had a history and I thought "ahh it really was only a matter of time". I stopped watching / taping or DVR-ing on December 1st 2008. I have had enough and for a person who didn't like Soaps to begin with, I find I did very well to stay as long as I did. But GH has now reverted to type. The writers are hacks, the plots are contrived and the absense of continuity makes one feel that nobody knows the meaning of the word. There is no more Jason & Liz and without them, all the faults in this show are now glaringly obvious to this former viewer. I suppose I should thank The Idiots In Charge for letting me have my life back.

Give us back our Liason and throw Guza and Frons out on their a$$es
I've waited 10 years for Jason and Liz to finally be together and Frons throws his precious little Sam right between them as usual. Never could understand the so-called "chemistry" between Jason and Sam as she is a complete moron. It's funny how people how certain people think Elizabeth is the damsel in distress when all I see is Sam constantly in trouble, needing to be saved only to trip and land on her back. This was the absolute worst storyline I've seen in the 20+ years I've been watching GH. What crap! GH stinks and needs to replace Frons and Guza. I'm tired of being abused by Frons' narrow mindedness. I stopped watching GH on November 25th and took it off my DVR, don't miss it and won't even consider watching until Liason is back on for real and for good.

Sometimes Staying Positive Can Be A Difficult Thing
Sometimes staying positive can be a difficult thing. I've been a Liason fan for only a year now. I wish I had discovered them 9 years ago like many of you did. Which brings me to what I've been thinking about so much lately. And that is, how so many of you on this board have stuck with Liason for all these years. When I consider how you had to go through the Courtney years and the Sam years I honestly don't know how you guys did it. I think that is what makes this fan base unique and special. No matter what has happened, you guys have devoted yourselves to this couple and have not wavered in your loyalty throughout the years.

So, now here I am...a Johnny-Come-Lately. I find myself falling into this depression watching Liason being dismantled once again before they ever really got a chance to be a real couple. Before they've even had a chance for more than 28 seconds of true happiness. I think my heart was physically hurting yesterday after watching Jason blaming himself once again for everything that has happened. And having to watch while Lucky played 'daddy' to Jason's little blue-eyed, spiky-haired son. Then I started really thinking about all of the people on this board who have watched Liason through the bad years and the 'nothing' years. I realized that what is now happening onscreen is just another day in the life of a Liason fan. And...ya gotta have a pretty tough skin if you wanna be a fan of this couple.

That is what I am going to strive to be...a fan that will be a fan under any circumstances and will stick with them through thick and thin. Because compared to what the long-time Liason fans have been through...well, this is nothin'.

My husband and I are big fans of a college team that doesn't ever make it to the Orange Bowl. They are always overshadowed by the OTHER college team in our state. Our team has had more losing years than I care to think about. But we've never wavered from being true fans. That is now what I want to be for Liason. I have no control over what the writers write or what is happening backstage or what the hater/baiters have to say. I just have to decide that I'm a fan. Plain and simple. I don't have to like what I see and I reserve the right to bitch and whine and complain on occasion. But I won't give up on them any more than I would switch teams just because it's just EASIER to root for a winning team as opposed to an 'also-ran' team.

So my hat is off to those of you who have been here through all these years. You lead by example. Thank you for all you have done through these years.. If there weren't people like you to keep the faith there would be no Liason at all!!! ...and we would just have a doom-and-gloom board with people like me who sit by and chew their fingernails and worry.

Here's To Hoping TPTB Will Put On Their Big Boy Panties & Give Us The Liason Story We Deserve
The break up scenes left me feeling like the two most selfless people just got their hearts ripped out of them. When Elizabeth told Jason, " I won't call you" you could tell that those words pierced them both to their very bones. The tears that streamed down both of their faces proved that they really felt like this was goodbye.

However, after watching those scenes quite a few times I really believe from what played out on my screen that Jason and Elizabeth are far from over. If I go with my gut and completely dismiss all the spoilers that are embedded in my brain, I really don't FEEL like that was the end of their love story. There was to much left unsaid. Jason was broken inside and only person who can save him was also completely broken.

They are pushing their own feelings aside to protect their son. I can't say that I expect anything less from them. The writers certainly screwed us when it comes to writing for Liason. THey could have written some happy times along with all the angst. Angst is this couples number one charm. I don't mind some strife but we all have our limits! I really pray that my gut feeling is right and that something will happen to force Jason and Elizabeth to see that they are better off together. They DESERVE to be happy with each other.

I can not watch GH right now. Everyhting that has happened just makes me so sad. It's actually depressing to watch. I will continue to come here to my beloved PFI home and family to see what's up with Liason. I have to admit that the most recent Jaosn/Olivia spoilers have almost pushed me to far. I don't know how much more TIIC expect us to endure. I just want Jason and Elizabeth to have a fair chance at happiness and the opportunity to be a family.

I can't believe that Jason can't be around his own son. That's ridiculous. Look at all the time that he has already missed. Guza and Frons are idiots if they think that's good writing. A man walking away from his own son and the woman that we all know owns his heart. My prayer is that one day they will see what we have seen all along and finally put on their big boy panties and give us the story we have longed for.

Liason Has The Magic Touch
How can a soap opera have the most Romantic Couple of the year, the best actress and one of top three actors in the soaps and not be the best soap? How can a NON-Couple continue to be voted most romantic and the very soap they work for won't give them a chance at a storyline? How about doing what's right for GH and the viewers choice... Put Liason together!

In "The Best of the Best" section SOU had:

Please Don't Change Liz's Character..She is NOT Weak, Never Has Been (Oh I'm Sorry - She Is Weak For Jason)
Why won't the GH Writers go back and look at previous scripts of what they've already given the actors to say in a particular s/l? One example:

Elizabeth Script from NOP: "The lesson I keep learning over and over again -- and one day it might actually stick -- you can't let fear dictate choice".
Liz is not WEAK - She is A FIGHTER and to make her out to be scared and wimpy just to make another character look like superwoman is just not fair to Becky has an actress. Becky is an awesome actress and GH is not giving her the emmy award roles that she and Steve can carry out.
There is something terribly wrong over at GH if TPTB think the viewers are enjoying this current s/l. It's HORRIBLE. The scenes are choppy, nothing is flowing, and it's not written well at all, it's just thrown together.
Mr. Frons, and whoever else that's responsible for this nightmare of a s/l should suck it up and call it a day because your action packed dual has run their course. In other words they have run slap jam out of action.

If the Soap Gods are listening, please let the writers we had during the strike come back and write Liason's s/l because the viewers want Love, Romance and Family!

And if the writers need help with writer the beautiful love story that Liason so deserve may I offer you one of thousands of Liason fanfics to read and possibly get some ideas. I can't believe that the amateur fanfic writers are more creative in writing the GH professiona... Correction, I can believe it because we see the effects of the horrible writing on our tv screen.
May I suggest someone from your writing staff take a read at this particular fanfic called "They Went For It" Written By Michot. Sequel to Going For It. Jason and Elizabeth have just gotten married. This story explores their life together and how they manage to survive together when others get in their way of happiness. It's filled with love, drama, romance and of course mob stuff.. And guest what... Jason is not DOMESTICATED which just goes to prove if the writers wanted to they could come up with the love story for Jason & Liz that would make them better then Luke & Laura.

The Scab Writers Wrote Better Storylines - Please Bring Them BAck
Here's my question... when did kidnapped babies and children being shot in the head become good a soap?

There's something terribly wrong over there at GH when this is the best s/l you can come up with and expect the viewers to be happy and sit back and enjoy watching these kind of terrible things happening to children. We read about these kinds of things happening everyday in the newspaper and the news itself so what makes you think we want to watch it on a daytime television show?

Every writer that had anything to do with this sick s/l needs to be ashame of themselves. This is nothing but recycling of material over and over and over. What happen to the magic that Disney represents, why not get out of that comfort zone you're all in and start listening to what the fans want.

I can't believe your calling this s/sweeps. Yeah right, this s/l should have be swept right out of the studio next to the garbage pile. The President of ABC should start holding the writers more accountable of whats being written and shown to the viewers. Please bring those writers back, that were there during the strike. Please!!

How do you guys sleep at night knowing your not giving the viewers your very best?

Why Is The Sam Sweeps Being Forced Down Our Throats.. Enough Already - I Said ENOUGH!!
Sam in this is just PATHETIC.....she is a tool....she can't save her own arse....Jason had to do it twice in a week...Frons propping this character is sick!! This is a character that has NO TIES to the show...heck whenever there is a big event...a wedding, baby shower whatever Sam is NEVER there because well...NOBODY likes her, she isn't part of them....The only reason she was at the B&W Ball was because it was her cousin which they rarely share scenes!! You can't undo a this character...she has been written as a con artist that has a vindictive streak and shows she will go to great lengths to get what she wants but now she is lovable Sam just because!! The character has NO BASE to her!!

As for Jason....It all just sucks right now....I get that Lucky was all THIS IS me beating my chest acting like "I" mean something, and normally I am fine with his putz assiness...but we are not playing in Dudley's world...this is Jason's world....and to me it never sat right with Jason that he didn't put them in a safe house...but the GUARDS...geezus I know Barney Fife is a cop but REALLY Jason REALLY?? What I really hate about it kidnapping stuff, is that Jason will look at it as it proved his point that he is NOT safe...forget that HE wasn't responsible for the first one or this one.....FORGET that all the bad things that have happened are all while Jake has been known as a Spencer!!

Liason Fans Turning Off GH In Droves
President Sweeney, I'm begging you to please intervene. I know your office is being swamped with emails and US postal mail telling you of their frustration of the direction in which GH is headed. I just had to post a letter written to all the posters on Soapnet because it's how most of us Liason fans are feeling and she summed it up best in her post.

Hi Everyone!Since currently I am not watching GH and will not be a regular poster on this MB anymore....I just wanted to wish everyone "Happy Holidays!"And to say just a few things:- Thanks for a great time......- I can't seem to care enough about GH to continue posting on the MB anymore....- If the current GH has become just another ploy to "redeem" a character by trashing every other character around them just to please an actress who has an "in" with the producers....I'd rather watch anything else....- I know sweeps are supposed to be exciting....but if I have to watch the glorification of a former Mob moll who's only real ties to GH are ret-conned ones....and whose sole purpose is to end up ruining every storyline she is in.....I'd rather not support a soap like that....- At this point, my love for my faves is slowly dying and I'd rather have good memories than watch my love for GH disintegrate.....-

Liz and Jason Fan
I first started watching GH when I was in middle school in 1998. At that time, Liz and Lucky were my favorite soap couple, I loved the Cassadines, the Spencers, the Q's and all their crazy storylines. I did not immediately fall for Liz and Jason as a couple but I did see a spark. It just kept getting brighter and I remember thinking that if I couldn't have Jonathan Jackson back as Lucky, there was something beautiful and pure about Liz and Jason's budding friendship. I watched through the Zander/Courtney/Ric years and I even liked Liz with Ric at one point. But it wasn't anything compared to the magic and promise of the "could have been" of Liason.
I took a break from GH for a few years and only watched once in a while. The show had become so different than what it was in 1998 and not for the better. Also, this Liason push/pull is only symptomatic of a greater underlying problem with GH. The mob stories, to put it succintly, sucks. It was fine when it was in the background but now its ridiculous. There are rarely any fun light-hearted moments on this show. It's guns, violence and speeches about "how my life is too dangerous".
Finally, I can't watch GH anymore. I don't need to watch anything that irritates and angers me. There's enough of that in the real world.I just hope that even if the writers keep Liz and Jason apart, they don't put Jason and Sam back together. I'm apathetic to Sam as a character, but for all her heroics in saving Jake, I cannot see Jason Morgan ever being w/a woman whose deliberate actions could have harmed his son. It would be totally out of character. As for Liz and Jason, I want them to be together. It's been years and their relationship is still only a "could have been". Even after Liz got pregnant, their relationship was so push/pull that I could just scream. Write a real love story and stop pandering to a select few characters. Until then, I'm out and I think permanently this time. I wonder how many like me there out there? Probably more than what is good for your ratings.

An ex-GH fan.

LOVE SHOULD BE ENOUGH
this is a soap, where Love is suppose to be enough, right. In the end LOVE is suppose to win out. But when you (IIC) asked Rebecca Herbst to use the word "infatuation" with regards to her character's love interest, Jason Morgan, well that was enough for me.

I no longer record the show. The only good thing to come out of jerking Liasonites around for years is the plentiful supply of YouTube clips. Thanks for that at least.

I admit the power of Lisaon however, and fully admit the IIC can lure me back..... IF THEY FREEKIN PUT THEM LIVING UNDER THE SAME ROOF! OR GET THEM TO ITLAY!!!!! or something postitive like that.
thank you~

"Nio Contact?"

I have tuned off "permanently" and will never return...this is only one of my major reasons for leaving GH. I am one of the December 8th's viewers they lost in one week....I hit the exit door permanently after being played for a sucker (again) after watching for many years. I went to Y&R and some of the dying soaps...GL and DOL to try to save them...because GH is on life support

4. GH 2,794,000 (-59,000/-30,000) behind DOL

There are so many of us who waited since before 2002; it isn't so much that they dangled Liason in a 3 yr arc that was dominated by their "positive focus." But to throw Elizabeth/Jason nder the bus in their whitewashing while watering down Elizabeth in the process is more than I can take. Jason belongs with the woman he loves and/or belongs with their child not using his Jake as a prop for a shootout storyline.

Elizabeth knows how to handle a gun yet they wrote her this fickle nervous wreck yes, I realize her child got kidnapped (again) before he's two years old...but to have KungFu Barbie save the day? Was way over the top and reeked of being in yet another storyline that she shouldn't be in...

Nope. I'm not buying it. Elizabeth Webber/Jason Morgan were "scribed against" in an Elizabeth Webber/Jason Morgan storyline that got firmly hijacked. ... I can see Luckey Spencer the policeman who never fires his gun in it making better sense.

This "here I come to save the day has gotten old" and it is more of Preferential Treatment while other characters take the hit. Elizabeth spent months kowtowing and making nice kissing the Goddess ring...as Alexis did before her and they wind up looking weak without story.

The quicker they get Elizabeth Webber away from the quad the better she should have happiness with Jason..Elizabeth with Jason fans have stuck through preferential writing with Zander, Courtney. Lucky x2 in 3 versions, Ric x2 so this isn't our first time at the rodeo.

and we will remain as solid as ever...I have been writing/reading fan fiction since 2002 when we got the shaft. We have always had Jason and Elizabeth and will continue to do so their love story continues.

~VivA Liason~

jason and liz should be together
ok i feel the same way tptb are destroying the show liason is the most popular couple and they insit on taking that away i mean to make one character ok not likely
i mean they even changed jason and that is a fact the jason would have never laid down and taken what sam did to his son she would have been gone and so would have sasha and liz would never have let sam any where near her kids after what she did
i also am just about done with GH they need to go back and change what they have done to the show new writers that can fix it
give us liason back

TPTB Screwed Liasonites for Way TOO Long
I have no words really to say besides....

You screwed us once, shame on you...

You kept screwing Liasonites over the past decade repeatedly, shame on us...

You break Liason up and stomp on their history, surprise Stecky, and pimp slap Liasonites all in the name of redeeming Samantha McCall, a character who you've never bothered to give any real depth to since she hit the canvas almost six years ago, shame on YOUR RATINGS!!!!

Those numbers speak way more volumes than TIIC obviously think we, the fans do.... so WE will show you better than we can tell you! This show will continue to tank and I hope it tanks more and more, just keep plunging weekly in ratings. If Liasonites can't have Liason after showing devotion for almost a decade then you deserve exactly what you get.... LOW RATINGS!

Screw us and we'll screw you back! I wouldn't watch GH if it was the only show on the only channel on TV because ABC's GH writers and PTB treat their fans like the doo doo underneath dog ish and expect us to lay down and take it! Well not THIS Liasonites, you can take this show and shove it all I care, Im enjoying my YnR more now. I will continue to not watch General Hospital until Jason, Elizabeth, Cam, and Jake are "The Morgan Family." Meaning Jason adopts Cameron and Jake and Cam take after his last name like his loving wife Elizabeth Morgan. They need to be living together in that nice big house spacey enough for four and at the end of a very long work day I want to see Elizabeth have cooked a nice meal for her HUSBAND and THEIR children and be awaiting her boo. What you have Jason doing during the day I don't give a crap, but at the end of it I want to see Jason come home to his wifey and children; I want to see him smile and have the family he has longed for years now. It makes no sense a man who has wanted a family as bad as he has, finally has one and he can't be with them.... this show disgusts me to no end thinking about it!!!

Until all that happens PTB dont expect to be sucking Liasonites back in with your scraps because you've offered that up for the past decade and we are no longer buying it.... give us them now or continue to lose more and more fans in the name of redeeming one character. If you are willing to bet your money and ratings on a character (Sam) and couple (JaSam) that DO NOT have many fans, then by all means continue losing money, but just know your ratings will be shot to h3ll cause you dont listen to fans and continue treating us like crap on a daily basis when you insult with these TIRED story-lines, no love, no romance, no dominant families, and violence, violence, violence!!!!

Liason Love Story Should Be Extraordinary, Heroic And Overcome All Odds.
Soap Operas are about the impossible relationships being made possible. Ordinary people are made extraordinary in a good story. Love overcomes all else and for better and for worse can really happen. Jason and Elizabeth after 10 years should happen because they are crazy in love, let them be together.

We get that Jason's life is dangerous but so is life in general - Enough please let Jason & Liz man up claim their family together and face what obstacles will come before them together.

TPTB,have written Jason's character as a FEARLESS HERO, so why change his character now to be so wimpy? Jason is suppose to be the most FEARED ENFORCER in the Mob, so the other families have got to know if anyone touches Jason family or anyone he loves the payback with be DEATH. This is Jason' character and we love the mob enforcer.. Please don't change that. However, mobsters have families too, so that s/l that Jason can't have a family because he's too dangerous is just way over the top and is not reality. Every mobster movie I've seen the MOB has family, i.e "The GodFather", " The Sopranos" . WITHOUT FAMILY HOW CAN THE MOB CONTINUE THEIR LEGACY?? So the GH writing team has to fix Jason's story. He can and should have a family life with the woman he loves. And hopefully before Jake is grown.

Jason and Elizabeth love story should be extraordinary, heroic and overcome all odds.

LIASON+QUARTERMAINES = Higher Ratings.

GH you have the actors on canvas that can make GH ratings shoot up their with Y&R. Bring back family, love & romance, humor. (Liason, Q's Diane, Max, Spin, Maxie, Jerry, Lexis) more s/l's for these characters and your ratings are up.

The Redemption of One Character Destroys 10yrs Of History For 2 Mainstream Characters..
I'm still scratching my head and wondering how the top brass at GH has allowed 1 character's propping to destroy 10 years of history between two other mainstream actors on GH. Please for the love of GOD let this be someone's nightmare and they're going to wake-up any minute now.

This email is not even about Liason, it's about 2 mainstream characters and all they stand for being downgraded just to redeem another character and make them out to be wonderwoman. WHY?

By reading all the re-caps one thing is very clear and that is the viewers are not happy about the sloppiness of how this s/l was thrown together. The only thought process that went into this storyline was let's redeem this character at any cost. This storyline should have been all about Sonny & Jason's World. This storyline should have been about the tearing down of old things and the rebuilding of new things to come. The storyline should have stayed on the course of best friends almost brothers becoming enemies and then friends again. Yes this should have been Sonny & Jason's time to shine whether together or apart. If anything the storyline should have had Jason & Liz bonding together to save their son and then they could have worked out their relationship going forward. Whether they're together or not this should have been Liason time to shine as well. The Jakenapping s/l should have been about bringing families together i.e; Webber, Morgan & Quartermines that's what this storyline should still be about not the redemption of a con-artist.

Jason in all his glory would never drive and leave Liz & Cam standing outside the cabin without saying one word to her. You mean to tell me that SUV wasn't big enough to hold Liz, Jake & Cam... Come on now!

And now you want to change this again to destroy the coupling.. You didn't have to go this route to keep them apart. Just keep them true to themselves and let the situation work out.

And in all actuallity I don't know if a expert con-artist character and be redeem all that simply. Especially since your destroying everyone else's storyline to redeem her. Mr. Frons, this was definietly not the time for the redemption of this character.

LiasonLover , December 18, 2008 | " rel="nofollow" target="_blank"> url
TPTB Are Destroying The Foundation of GH
Mr. Frons,

How can you take away the very foundation that has kept GH on the air for so long and the viewers come back each day for more and more, How do you justify wiping the Quartermaines, Webbers & Hardys right off the Port Charles map to satisfy a new actress that your in love with?

You might want to Remember that A house CANNOT stand without it's foundation. Steve Burton & Rebecca Herbst are part of GH's foundation that you are destroying and for what reason other than your own personal ones to pimp one actress to stardom. If the storylines were written better and she was such a good actress no pimping would be necessary.

Don't forget the bridge that brought you this far, before there was a Sam character, Jason & Elizabeth were there for you and GH. And now this is how you show them your gratitude by not letting them tell their story their way!

Shame on you Mr. Frons and whomever else that had a hand in destroying the best couple in daytime television.

And since this is the way you show your appreciation not only to your loyal and long-time employees but the viewers as well I will never watch GH again!

They have assisinated the character of Jason. Jason would NEVER pick a whore over Liz and his only child. This is a re-write of epic porportions. The ratings prove that you CAN NOT go back. She did what she did. Jason finally had the chance he's always wanted with Liz. To show him not even try to change for the woman he's loved for years and his son has made Jason look like an idiot.

Liason Fans Are Finding The Strength They Need To Hold On Through Positive Online Post of How They Came To Love Liason SOOO Much!
Liason friendship and deep connection was something that captivated me from the start. During that time it was the rides and just the way they looked at each other that I couldn't turn away from. Now that I think about it I don't know how I survived the times SB left the show, lol. Anyway, I could probably write a novel like all of my wonderful PFI family members could about what all the vintage stuff means in my heart but I won't subject you all to my dissertation.

Back to the original topic of this thread though..... I am not sure how I will feel if we lose Liason..... It is hard to explain but even if Liason was to end tomorrow, a part of me won't be nearly as broken hearted as I was when Lucky returned. Back then I detested (with every fiber of my GH loving being) JY's Lucky. I cringed everytime he was in a scene especially with Liason. I loved every second of Liason and yet wanted to reach through the screen to shake Jason and Liz (Liz in particular) for not admitting how they felt about each other. I think by the time SB returned for the 2nd (3rd?) time although I had my hopes up for a Liason love story, the WTF Journey/Liric s/l's forced me to let go, UNTIL the NOP.

I have been so overwhelmed really with Liason growing together again, sharing thoughts/fears, falling in love (and admitting it this time), having a child, and wanting to share a life with each other. Although I am frustrated at their lack of screen time, we are still seeing their love for each other. The few scenes they do share are emotional and rich with history. For me unless they cheat or fall in love with someone else I won't give up. Like many of you though I will rely on youtube because the rest of GH is just not enjoyable to me much anymore.

Aside from a Liason love story, the other thing I am grateful for this time around is all of you. Who would have thought that fictional characters could bring about such a strong connection and the creation of the PFI family. Each and every one of you have become so important to me and hopefully we can share thoughts online for many years to come. No matter what the future holds for our Liason, I will be forever grateful that they (and the talented wonderful Brie of course) brought us all together!
Your responses are so awesome!

I totally identify with Brie’s stance about it being too painful to watch them go nowhere (that’s profound). But I love the hope that I get from reading everyone else’s outlook. I have to remember that even without Liason (like we want them), we’ve still got each other. Muah!

Let's see....I have followed this couple forever....and I have such faith that all will be well with them....it just does not make sense to me why there would be soooo much investment in a couple ( having them dance around each other) do ditch them...and look at how strong they are! They are beautiful...so to make my post short, cause I know I could write for hours on this...I am just going to say that I believe that our couple will survive, but even if they don't, I know I will have a positive outlook on their relationship, because the only real way that they will be apart, is that if one dies or leaves the country becuase of safety....plain and simple...not ideal, but I don't see either of them destroying the other's heart. Just ain't happening. They care about each other too much! LIASON4EVER
I didn't really start watching regularly again until I got married and moved across the country, well, out to the middle of the ocean. I was new to a state after never living outside of GA, the culture was different, I was lonely with my husband always gone on deployment. I just needed something. That's where soaps, especially GH came in to play. I began watching again during the train wreck. Lucky was in the hospital and he had just started popping pills. I hated him for Elizabeth. Jason and Elizabeth started reconnecting and I just got hooked on their potential again. I was rooting for something between them and one day I caught the tail end of a promo that featured the NOP! I was like what is going on on GH? Jason and Elizabeth!

I started watching every day for them and hoping that they would get their chance. Over time I wanted to share my happiness with someone but no one I knew watched GH so I started going to internet sites to find others who liked Jason and Elizabeth. I remember finding Soaps.com and seeing a thread called Liason Fans Unite. I was like who is Liason? I entered the thread and began reading posts and realized that Liason was Jason and Elizabeth's smush name. Ha! Madheartsforliason was posting great stuff about the elevator scenes and I was in heaven. The rest is history.

We Love Liz's Character "She's The Independent Woman We Can Relate To" (Mom, Healer, Artist, Friend, Hero,) Kudo's To Rebecca Herbst - We Love You Girl
One of the many things we admire about Liz's character... she is strong, independent and a great mother! Oh did I mention BEAUTIFUL!

Liz, is so independent and the real superwoman if you ask me.
Liz has always took care of herself, she never asked for anyone to do that for her. I just realized from a scene a couple days ago, that Liz took over paying for the studio. I remember when Jason said he was renting the studio, but the other day, Liz said she had the studio that she could not afford, so I am guessing she must have asked for it to pay for it herself. Same with the boys, she does not ask Lucky or Jason for anything, she says she will take care of her boys, she exemplifies a real independent woman to me, to me that is her strength, she does not need to act out to show that.

Liz is a Mom, Healer, Artist, Friend, Hero, and she's strong enough to handle Jason's life tyle

We love you girl, go get your man back!

Thank You Steve & Becky - We Love You!
Hi Steve & Becky,

I just had to take the time to write and say how much we (the Liason fans) love the both of you. Both Becky and yourself are awesome actors and the chemistry between the two of you is off the charts. I mean your chemistry oozes across our TV screen loud and clear making us feel so alive.
You can't get much closer to a real relationship on daytime TV then what "Jason & Liz" has.

Steve, Becky thank you so much for fighting for Liason, you don't know how much it means to us just to know you want Liason as much as we do. We the viewers want to see Jason holding his son. You claiming Jake and becoming a family with Liz & Cam are the only reason why most of us are trying to hang on. Do you know how your ratings are going to soar at the mention of you finally claiming Jake? It’s been really painful watching the push & pull/stall storyline. Not only are they pushing & pulling Liason apart but the Liason fans as well.

I don't think TPTB ever thought the fans would fall so madly in love with Liason but we did. Liason is just GOLDEN, everything the two of you say or touch just seems to work. Mr. Guza & Company have created a "Diamond in the Rough" with Liason and why they can’t see it and capitalized on it is beyond me.

Steve, Becky, please know that even if we don't get the storyline we so badly want and deserve the Liason fans love you so much and wish the both of you the very best in your careers and in your personal lives.

Happy Holiday's

Loving Liason4Ever!

I'm still stunned!
I'm still in shock that they actually broke up Jason and Elizabeth and "redeemed" Sam SO quickly! Fine if they want to redeem Sam so that she can have a relationship with Shmucky, but to have HER be the one that saves Jake?! You've GOT to be kidding me! I sat there stunned watching as Sam jumped into Jason's car to go after the Russians all the while thinking "why are they doing this? why would Jason want her in his car? This is gross, make it STOP!"

I've been watching GH since before Luke and Laura's wedding and I'm finally done with GH. Bring Liason together or just cancel the show because none of the other s/l's are good enough to carry it.

Liason's Love Speak Volumes
Steve Burton and Rebecca Herbst portray Jason and Elizabeth with so much love and emotion. All they have to do is look at one another and you know what these characters feel for one another. They are the loves of each others lives. I have never seen any other characters have to ability to just look at each other and speak volumes without the use of words.

I have watched GH for over 20 years. Of course no one viewer loves all of the story lines but there is usually a payoff that keeps us tuned in for years. I can honestly say my payoff was Liason. I overlooked all the lack of romance, the overkill of mob violence, the poor portrayal of woman and the lack of original story lines. Now I don't have Liason, the one couple that made me overlook the aforementioned issues. I have stopped watching GH because I waited years for Liason to have a real chance at some kind of happiness. Now they are broken up and I am so disheartened. I have no payoff to keep me tuned in to GH.

I wish TPTB would respect the loyal viewers that have supported their show for all these years. Liason fans are campaigning and crying out to reunite Liason. Please hear us!

Liason is Love!!

Bye Bye GH
The first time I was introduced to Jason and Liz was right around college and I thought these two had great potential. I watched their friendship grew into love. I also watched them fall in and out of love with other people but one thing remained the same was their friendship. I also watched their character rewritten to suit other character and yet stayed loyal to GH. I thought I finally had a chance to see their relationship come to fruition but at long last it never happened. Over 2 years ago this story of reconnecting is suppose to play out, 3 engagements and to top it off a child together. Yet they are still not together. So long GH, the only way you can get this viewer to come back is to bring Jason and Liz together and become a Morgan family.

Steve & Becky Deserve So Much More!
Elizabeth and Jason represent LOVE, every woman’s desire and dream is to be loved. To turn on General Hospital each day and see Liz and Jason actually being given the opportunity to develop a real lasting relationship, will draw women time and time again.
There are so many Jason and Liz fans who dream about that happening, but after so many years of disappointment they have been drawn to other Soap Operas, or given up Soap Operas altogether.
Can you imagine their joy and glee to read in one of the magazines that Jason and Liz was finally a couple, the favorable response that General Hospital would get? How many viewers would return to see if it had actually happened? Believe me it would be worth returning for.
To finally see that Jason and Liz had finally tuned the world out, given in to their love and desire to be the family that all their fans knew they could be. The ratings would probably go through the roof. There are more Jason and Liz followers than you realize.
We love them and we want MORE…..MORE……MORE.
We want to watch them face the world together hand in hand, not caring what anyone else thinks.
We want to watch them do family things together, and finally acknowledge to everyone that Jacob Martin is Jason Morgan’s son.
We want to watch Monica and Edwards face as they realize that the Quartermaine line has not died, it continues with Jake.
We want to watch Jason experience sheer joy when he walks in the door and Liz and the boys are waiting for him with open arms.
We want to watch him interact with HIS son, love his son, teach his son, guide his son.
Both Jason and Liz deserve this and so much more.

Lord Please Forgive Mr. Frons Because He Knows Not What He's Doing
I wanted to start this email off with a prayer because Mr Frons has me seeing RED! Mr. Frons HOW DARE you sacrifice Jason & Liz's character and the Liason storyline so that you can prompt and redeem Sam's character.
It is so obvious that your decision to stall/end Liason was based soley on a personal nature and not what's good for the show. And since you made this decision based purely on your sick addiction/need to satisfy one character why don't you write yourself a storyline with Sam and it should go something like this.

Frons, lover savior and white and shiney knight saves Sam yet again from herself; afterwards they both run off to live happily ever after, never to be seen or heard from again!
Now this is a storyline we all can enjoy!

Guza where are you? Are you also a part of this horrible s/l that where watching right now?... why are you letting Frons take Liason away from Steve,Becky and the Liason Fanbase?
Speak up and be heard!

Another Loyal GH Fan Bites The Dust - No Liason - No Viewership
As of Monday, Dec. 1st, this General Hospital fan is no longer tuning in. I can no longer bear to watch my favorite couple (Jason and Elizabeth) be ripped apart again and again.

The decision to end Liason (and the decision of those in charge to not listen to the concerns of the fans) has led me to MY decision to take my viewer ratings elsewhere! I have never felt so cheated and betrayed by a show before.

Congratulations on losing another viewer."

After reading the last sets of spoilers about Jason and Sam playing pool... I'm seeing red. Normally, I wouldn't believe those spoilers because it sounds SO freakin' ridiculous... but now? I wouldn't put anything past TIIC.

Please Give Liason A "REAL" Chance At Love
Hello. My name is Ashley. I am 23 years old, from the beautiful state of Alabama, and I am a loyal General Hospital viewer.

I ask that you please take a couple of moments to read this e-mail as I voice my concerns about the show I love, and in particular, the couple that I love: Jason and Elizabeth (better known to the fans as Liason).

I started watching the show in February of 2007 when the writing for my favorite soap at the time (Passions) was quickly going downhill. I tuned in during the Metro Court Hostage Crisis and was totally sucked in as I watched Elizabeth tell Jason (as they were trapped in an elevator) that Jason was the father of her unborn child. The chemistry between them was like nothing I’d ever seen and I began to watch every day just to see their story unfold!

It was just a few months later that I discovered that their relationship had an amazing history, all of which could be found on youtube! I went back and watched ALL of their scenes, beginning with the night that Jason saved Elizabeth at Jake’s bar back in 1999. I watched as they became friends and confidants. I watched as they grew to lean on, rely on, and trust each other. I watched as they fell in love.

It wasn’t a rushed, forced, lust-centered love that is typically shown on soaps these days. It was a slow-building, respectful, tender, but passionate love. The beginning of their story was THE most wonderfully and beautifully written and portrayed fictional romance I’ve ever witnessed.

Unfortunately, it seems that the “powers that be” have lost interest in Liason. It seems that they have abandoned the fans’ wishes for whatever story line or coupling they feel may produce a quick ratings boost at the moment.

I just wish they understood that there are SO many fans who have been waiting years to see this couple finally get their chance at REAL happiness, and if actually given a story worthy of their connection, their history, and their love, people would watch and be just as amazed and in love with them as I am! Jason and Elizabeth have the potential to be a super couple to rival all super couples! They just need to be given the chance!

Ms. Sweeney, you are in a position of power at ABC, so I respectfully ask that you please consider my concerns. The fans want to see Jason and Elizabeth together and happy. Please help us in making that wish a reality.

Sincerely,
Ashley

Liason Is The Greatest Love Story Since Luke & Laura and GH Drops It Again!
What in the world are the writer's at ABC -General Hospital thinking?

The greatest LOVE story (next to Luke and Laura) has been dropped along the wayside once again.

Jason Morgan and Elizabeth Webber.......How long has we waited for this pairing?

The pent house...lights out...Jason and Liz together....no interuptions......just the two of them alone....laying their feelings on the line.

We waited with hearts in our hands as they finally made love for the first time....after 9 years.

Then we prayed that the baby was Jason's and not Lucky's.

Our prayers were answered.

We cheered for Jason and Liz, we cheered for the writer's at GH.........They were finally going to tell the love story of the Century.

A love greater than time itself.

A love that had ignited and been extinguished so many times it was heartbreaking to every fan.

But here we were at last, a Morgan-Webber baby. Baby Jake.

We held our breath as Liz went into labor, loving every moment of anguish that Jason went through, a love so deep even he didn't know how to deal with it.

And each and everyone of us cried when Jason held his son for the very first time.

Jason's son.....and Elizabeth's.

We wanted to push him in the door when he stared in the window at Christnas, he deserved to be inside with his family!!!!

They fought Diego together.....Liz showing she had spunk and could give as well as she got.

Liz promised there was nothing she wouldn't do for Jason.....and she meant it from the bottom of her heart.

She accepted two proposals, and still the writer's insisted on placing barriers Micheal being shot the greatest barrier of all.

Still Liz fought for her MAN. Jason was hers and she wanted everyone to know he was hers and she wasn't ashamed.

We (her fans) were so proud of her!!!!!!!!!!

WE CHEERED!!!!!! YOU GO ELIZABETH!!!! DON'T TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER!!

Then the writer's decided to have Jake kidnapped AGAIN!!!!! OVER KILL!!!!!

Let Liz and Jason have some happiness for a little while. Jason has brought the ratings again and again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He has sacrificed all for Sonny and Carly.

How about the writer's sacrifice something for him....and give him his family he deserves. Elizabeth, Cam and Jake.

Allow him to come home and lay his head on Liz's lap and feel peaceful for once in his totally caotic life. When Liz is there the smile truly reaches his beautiful eyes as well as his heart.

This is one dedicated fan that promises I will not watch General Hospital another day until Jason has his Elizabeth, Cam and Jake to come home to, and many fans agree.

Closing the door on General Hospital after 30 years of watching.
I stopped watching GH live a few weeks ago.

I am not giving GH anymore of my live viewer ratings.

I am completely disappointed in how first General Hospital and now Liason has been destroyed before my eyes. The end of Jason and Elizabeth’s relationship was just the last straw that finalized my decision to walk away from GH for good after watching it for over 30 years.

Through the years I have been watched those who make the creative decisions at GH, slowly destroy everything that I once I loved about the show.
The magnificent Quartermaines, The Annual Christmas story reading at GH, The nurse’s ball, The Quartermaines Thanksgiving Pizza.

The quality of the writing has disappeared. The storylines are choppy, silly and most times left hanging without any true resolution.

They start out good and just when you think "Hmmmm, this may be interesting" the writers either drop it or go off in a direction that makes no sense.

The writers stopped paying attention to history. It is like they don't even know what happened to a character a couple of weeks ago, let alone a few years ago.

The writers totally change a characters years long established personality overnight just to suit some out of left field story they decide to tell

Those in charge at GH do not give us viewers respect. They use deceptively cut promo’s and just outright lies to trick us into watching rather than just stepping up and writing good , tight, interesting stories that we would watch just on their own merits.

I used to be excited to come home from work and turn on my tape to watch GH and escape for awhile. I used to discuss GH stories at work with my co-workers.

Not in the last few years. GH has destroyed the only thing that was keeping me watching GH, Jason and Elizabeth, and that has become the last straw. I am done with GH.

I am sad about it too. Because I absolutely loved this show for over 30 years, but the writers began to eat away at my devotion by totally decimating every family GH ever created and replacing the family drama, adultery, backstabbing, and the loving couples with non-stop violence against women and children, explosions, shootings, hostage takeovers and mob, mob, mob.

They have destroyed Elizabeth’s 12 year established personality just to make another actress look like a hero and destroyed the only mature, loving, romantic couple left on GH, Jason and Elizabeth.

Patrick and Robin are an acquired taste. They have to grow on you, if you can get past the bickering and Robin’s self-centeredness. I couldn’t.

Jason and Elizabeth are a classic soap couple. Good girl in love with a bad boy with a heart of gold. Steve B. and Becky H. bring those characters to life with so much passion and emotion.

I have loved Jason and Elizabeth as a couple since 1999, and loved them separately before 1999 and always hoped that GH would give them a real storyline. I got reinvested in their story 2 years ago only to have GH jerk the viewers around and use them as a means to keep us watching without ever giving them a true storyline.

I feel tricked and disillusioned. I know how Charlie Brown felt every time he would go running in to kick that football and Lucy would snatch it away and he would fall flat on his back.

GH has snatched Liason away again after doing it in 2003 and every single time they made it look like Liason would get together. This time I am walking away from GH because it is just an empty shell of what it once was.

Jason and Liz fans disappointed for the last time
I too have stopped watching GH for the simple fact that the writers have decided to screw us once again! Stringing the Jason and Liz fans along dangling a romance for the couple in our faces. GH consists of a bunch of liars, pure and simple.
For years we all have anticipated the joining of this couple, and for years we have been disappointed. I love Steve and Becky, maybe they both need to move to another Soap like Harley and Gus. Beleive me the fans would follow!!!!!

...
I am a Liason fan true enough, I hate they have once again killed the couple. But I started watching GH long before Liason. Honestly the Liason screw up is just the final nail in the coffin that is GH. It's not right that I go from never missing a show because of it's fantastic charaters and s/l to dvr where I fastforward through half the show. To not watching at all because I can't take this crap anymore.

GH was once the only soap I made sure to watch. It had characters that wormed into your heart and set up camp there. The Quartermaines, The Spencers, even the Cassadines--love or hate they were worth the hour you spent watching the show. GH writers do stuff like take everything even worth while about Sonny and suck it right out of the character and we're left the jerk we now have.

They take strong characters and turn them into weak shallow, empty versions of the original---The Elizabeth scenes msy have been acted well by Rebecca Herbst but seriously do the writers even remember what they write. This is a woman who took on Helena Cassadine, survived a rape at fifteen, the lost of her first love at seventeen, and could make big Bad Jason Morgan cry(2002-2003). Now we're supposed to believe she would be a simpering weak mess that would need Sam McCall keep her together--that's just BS.

Liason was just another missed opportunity to make this show even half of what it used to be.
WhatWe'reMissing , December 17, 2008
...
Just like most other Jason & Liz fans, I've had it with this show. I've watched faithfully for eleven years and never asked for anything in return. I never had any expectations or standards: I watched when things were interesting and tuned out when they became boring. But over the last two years, I realized that I DID want something from my favorite soap opera. I had developed a specific desire. I wanted a love story for Jason and Elizabeth - a REAL love story.

But I got nothing.

The powers that be made haphazard efforts at putting them together but in contrast, they devoted magnificent amounts of time and dialogue to breaking them apart. Put it this way: TPTB wrote a 28 second engagement scene for Liz and Jason, then turned around and devoted the next several WEEKS to demonstrating how these same two characters couldn't be together because of Michael's shooting.

Back in September, Liz and Jason planned a trip to Italy in what amounted to five minutes. But the fallout from Kate's shooting (that kept them from going) is STILL being played out onscreen in December. See what I'm saying?

TPTB can't be bothered to write meaningful storylines and dialogue to demonstrate Liz and Jason's love for one another or to bring them together. But if it's a plot point to break them up? They can turn it into an epic saga lasting months on end.

Something is fundamentally wrong with that. Why not devote the same amount of time and energy on writing something positive as they spend on writing the ugliness?

I also think it's more than a little twisted to torture one couple (and their fans) for so long without any payoff. WHAT WAS THE POINT OF THE LAST TWO YEARS? How can a show that comes on five days a week, every week - manage to NOT tell a story? TPTB at GH have to be the most untalented scribes in all of the universe if after two years, all they could manage was to tell a story about how Jason and Liz could never have a story.

Like others, I will support Steve Burton & Rebecca Herbst eternally; and the loyalty I have for Liason will never waiver, but General Hospital has screwed me over for the last time. I'm done.

I am not going to bash another couple to get my point across......
smilies/tongue.gif....Liason is a couple that has long term staying power. Becky and Steve are fabulous together, you can tell they are comfortable onscreen. The story of Liz and Jason has been stalled time and time again. It is a joke. The writers should take a cue from the popularity of Luke and Laura and take the time to build on a couple that has staying power and incredible popularity.

The response to the recent break-up should be enough of a wake-up call. Time to finally, finally give the fans what they want and actually have a couple that after years of build-up can finally settle down into their love story, wothout the fear of it being pulled out from under them.

Fans make or break a show and it's about time Liason fans were given the respect and love story that is long overdue.

Steve & Becky Deserve To Have Their Love Story Told Their Way!
Steve & Becky WANT Liason, they are veterans actors and should be given the chance at a real love storyline. Steve & Becky are the only two actors on GH that have been pushed & pulled apart in different directions, placed with different partners and still have found their way back to each other; So now after 10 years of history and a love child your not going to give them at least the chance to work at having a family. And you want the Liason fans to take this lying down after waiting patiently for this couple to finally be together. NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. We want Liason, and we want then NOW!

What hypocrites you all are.... How was it that you allowed Jason to be around Michael & Morgan and NOT his own son. Michael's shooting was not Jason's fault that was the Mob Boss himself Sonny's fault for thinking no guards were needed. However, we all know that Jason is the brains of the outfit and he damn sure knows his family will have to have guards 24/7. Why can't they be given a chance at making their family work no matter what the cause? I'll tell you why that would mean your writers would actually have to do their job and write the beautiful storyline that Steve & Becky so rightfully deserves.

You have two awesome actors with Steve & Becky and all they need is the right material to bring this fantasy love story to life...Liason is a Soap Opera Fairytale just waiting for their story to be told. (and after all ABC is owned by Disney and we all know Disney is the master of making “fairytales” coming true.)

Liason’s love for each other is strong enough to withstand all the angst and disappointments that have been thrown their way and for that reason they deserve a chance at real happiness TOGETHER!

Liason is the Love Story To Tell!

Another Angry and Heartbroken Liason Fan
I stopped watching December 1st and do not plan to watch again unless TPTB wise-up and realize what a huge mistake they are making in breaking up Jason and Elizabeth. In February of 2007, while Jason and Liz were stuck in the elevator during the MC Hostage Crisis, I was sucked in by the chemistry between the two characters. I had seen the show a number of times over several years prior to that (while Jason was with Courtney and Sam.. and while Liz was with Ric and Lucky) but it was ONLY witnessing the awesome-ness of Jason and Liz that convinced me to sit down, pull up a chair, and invest in GH. I have been hoping since then to see Jason and Elizabeth really get the chance to be a family. But, time and time again, the rug has been pulled out from under Liason and from their fans. I feel like my viewing loyalty has been repaid with a slap in the face from "TPTB" and I refuse to support a show that displays such blatant disrespect to one of it's biggest fan-bases.

As for the poster who feels that those of us who are no longer watching just because of Jason and Elizabeth being broken up are not really loyal? .... The Liason fans have been nothing but loyal and patient! We have waited years for our favorite couple to get to be together and happy. We've watched the show while Jason and Liz were friends, while they were almost-lovers, while they were furious each other, while they loved and married other people, while they fought to be together.. We have been loyally watching and waiting for a pay-off. But at some point, enough is enough! We can't be expected to sit around and enjoy being teased with the notion of a happily-ever-after for Liason only to have it yanked away from us EVERY.SINGLE.TIME.

And, I must point out that I have seen MANY posts from Jasam fans at another site saying that they are just now tuning back in to GH because of the recent Jason/Sam interaction. I wonder if the above-mentioned poster would call them "finicky"....
AshLovesLiason , December 17, 2008
Liz and Jason bring out the best in eachother
I simply can't watch GH anymore, I turned off my DVR after Fridays breakup scenes. The sudden shift on GH, for instance Sasha's knowledge that Liz was connected to Jason came from where? It would have made much more sense for the Russians to have gone after Luckys child in order to teach Sam and Lucky a lesson about trying to get a fast one over on the Russians, and what about Claudia not batting an eyelash when learning that Jason has a relationship with a woman? Something went on and the flow of the show was disrupted and this fan has no interest in trying to forget everything written for the past 2 years.
I don't buy or like the sudden cleaning up of the character of Sam, like saving Jakes life once, nullifys her intentionally putting him in danger atleast twice before. I don't buy for a second that Jason could ever truely forgive a woman that because she was hurt by the end of thier relationship went completly psycho using his child in her revenge plot, that would be like Jason forgiving Sasha and the Russians for taking Jake for thier plot. I can't accept the idea that Jason would let a man he can't stand to be near, act as his childs father and be the example of what a man should be to him. I can't accept that Liz would suddenly forget how badly Lucky has treated her through out thier rocky, disfunctional relationship over the years. I can't believe we are expected to simply forget how horribly Lucky treated Liz during the last Jake kidnapping, and not realize that if Liz wasn't blaming herself for the entire thing that he would have quickly pointed it out for her. I can't accept the writing of women stating plain as day that Liz not giving up her dream of being with her childs father and not giving up her dream of being an artist makes her a bad mother, hello Liz is supposed to be around my age, and my generation of women have had it engrained down to our souls that we can have it all if we want it all and not to ever let anyone convince you otherwise. BUt at the end of the day, the most disappointing thing about GH right now is that the man that wanted to raise every child in PC is being written to be a dead beat dad to his very own, doesn't matter what the man choses, another woman, drugs, alcohol, gang involvement or the mob, and no matter how much money he throws at "the problem" he is still being written as a deadbeat uninvolved dad, and ruining the mobster with the heart of gold in the process.

Oh man Jason and Elizabeth completely make GH. Without them the show is nothing but boring, selfish couples with no chemistry. What gets me is the hypocrosy of liason's break up. Everyone else who was apart of endangering a child on this show can be happy. Everyone else involved in the mob gets a love story. And lets just face facts right now, Jason can't be with anyone else without looking like the biggest jack a$$ on the planet. They coudn't make it believable anyway though because steve doesn't want it.

WOW
I guess I should be thankful Liason is finally over and I don’t even have to watch 30 second clips on YT anymore. I was really sick of being strung along like a Donkey with a Carrot tied to a stick in front of his nose, just out of reach. Had they just broke Liason up (again) without another Jake kidnaping, and had not stuck Sam in her place I may have swallowed the bitter pill a little better. The thought of more Jasam makes me want to puke. As a Jason fan, I was disgusted that they wrote him as a worthless dead beat father with no sense of responsibility to his own biological child, but more loyalty to the mob instead. GH in general has just gone from bad to worse with every storyline. We have Carly plus 3 more just like her, the never-ending boringness of Jolu and Skate (when there was Skate) and a daily dose of mob. Luke?? I have no words for that character anymore. With rinse, repeat stories, repetitive dialogue and no excitement at all, to say GH is now boring is an understatement. Maybe I’ve just outgrown Soaps. At least I still have LOST to look forward in January.

WOW finally they ripped off the Liason Bandaid OUCH
I think most of us fans will feel that for a long time to come. smilies/angry.gif
I hung in as long as I could but the sad fact is, I won't even watch this crap on YT anymore. Not just because of the destruction of Liason, but every other s/l is horrible as well. They could of made Liason a good story but then again, TIIC would not know a "good" story if it bit them in the @ss! I knew when they made Jason the "boss" it was the beginning of the end for Liason.. Now, had someone just shot and killed Sonny instead and Jason walked away from the mob, that could of been more enjoyable. No more GH for this X Fan.

...
Liz and Jason belong together. I waiting years for them and all the writers did was get our hopes up and piss me off. When Liz first came on the show, she was a tough cookie. She needs some of that fire back and let Jason and Liz live their live together. If Jason is put back with Sam, I AM DONE!

LIASON IS ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL COUPLE IN TV NOW. WHAT GUZA AND FRONS ARE DOING MY DESTROYING THIS COUPLE IS SO UNFAIR. WITH THAT LITTLE TIME GUZA GAVE LIASON, THEY COME OUT AS BEST COUPLE. GIVE US ALITTLE ROMANCE GIVE US LIASON BACK STOP PUSHING FANS AWAY TO ANOTHER SHOW THAT'S ONE OF THE REASON WHY THE RATE ARE DOWN BRING US BACK BY GIVING US BACK LIASON, THIS TIME FOR REAL I WILL WATCH AGAIN WHEN LIASON BACK AND I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE.
