There are absolutely no couples left on GH that spell romance. Scrubs were never an exciting couple that spelled romance, for me the best part of their relationship was their wedding and only because of the looks between Jason & Elizabeth. Carly & Jax used to be romantic and a good mix, but Jax is all about revenge against Sonny and Jason (which I can't say I blame him) and Carly is all about defending them. The baby which should be bringing happiness to their marriage and bringing the boys and the baby together as a happy family is bringing nothing but separation. Sonny who knows who this man should be with, he deserves no one really, because he is selfish and unforgiving to any woman that tries to stand her ground against him. What do I say about Jason and Sam, if the show's writers had intended on putting them back together, why then did they separate them to begin with.
The true Jason would never forgive Sam for getting his son kidnapped and keeping it from him. They would maybe be friends but not a couple. If he was into forgiveness he would have been back with Robin or Carly -- Carly most likely because I think in a lot of ways she is Jason's true love, they know each other better than anyone; but that's never happened. Sam would take Jason back at the drop of the hat as long as she knows Liz is out of the picture, and he's making at least a surface effort.
Now onto Jason and Elizabeth, anyone who's ever heard me talk on any radio show or my comments on any board knows I am a Liason fan. But I am at a place where I'm not sure how I would feel about pairing them together. At this point, I feel she is always second best in Jason's life. He has a son that he repeatedly walks away from, out of fear of getting him killed he says. He has walked away and given up on a relationship with Liz for the last 10 years. Now he has not only walked away, in my eyes he has paid Elizabeth 5 million dollars for her and his son to stay out of his life. Elizabeth is always running scared from him and his life but in the same breath she knows Jason is the one that would be able to keep her safe in any mob wars that would come to be, he has more resources than anyone. Jason would give his life to save Michael, but after this last breakup in December, I realized that Jason obviously would never do that for his own son, he'd rather pay someone to get him out of his life.
Jake interrupts Jason's love and devotion for Michael. Jake will always be second to Michael. What would happen if he had to make a choice for one other's life, how would that come out? What would we see, would Jason pick his own son that's a part of him, or would he choose a son he stole from AJ? Unfortunately, I believe the outcome would very upsetting for Liason fans to know which way he goes. I think his first instinct would Michael. If they had no intentions of giving Liason a relationship out in the public, I truly wish they had never had the NOP (Night of Passion) because all that came from that was a loss of a friendship that I enjoyed watching, and a boy that has a father that's not his father, and has been denied by real father too many times to count. Elizabeth is off screwing everyone in pants, never acknowledging, that part of it is where her head his after the breakup with Jake's father. We sure forget fast.
I have been a GH fan for over 25 years. It was my escape. Before I had a VCR, I watched on my lunch hours. They have ruined this show for me. I don't really even care about the sweeps. At this point there aren't any stories that I can get my teeth into, I would be FF through all scenes with Jasam, Niz, CarJax, Scrubs, Spixie, and I currently have nothing invested one way or the other for Lulu and Dante. So to me there is nothing for me to tune into even on YouTube. So I guess basically GH has died for me and I'm not sure what will bring me back. At this point, I'm not sure that even Liason would do it. They have to do a lot of scrambling to fix that mess too.

Sonny WAIT A DARN MINUTE!!!! NO BODY was better than Emily was for Sonny. They were what brought me and 2000 more that I know to the tv, just anxiously waiting to see these 2 together, because EMILY DID NOT put down Sonny, instead she pulled him up. I haven't seen him with as much dimples and smiles SINCE Emily! They were GH's most ROMANTIC pairing since Luke and Laura. And BEFORE u say she was too young for him... so was Laura for Luke! And as for her "whining" it was only when she was fighting FOR & to be with with Sonny!!!! |

Romance on Gh Romance is what GH used to do best. I agree that they don't do that anymore! There have been many good couples on GH and every has their favorite. For me the ulitmate couple will always be the orginal supercouple-Luke and Laura. No one will ever do it as well as Francis and Geary. I agree that soaps need to move on and develop new characters! However, I think GH is missing out by not having this couple together today. The younger actors and actresses on the show could learn so much by watching these two. |

Stop whining just cuz somebody's saying something ya don't like. For what it's worth, I agree with Candy T. GH sucks right now. I stopped watching after the official Liason break up. I tried it again a couple weeks ago and dang, it's an even worse pile of crap then it was when I stopped. Looks like this BS show is gonna follow GL right off the air with j****m at the helm. |

Romance has died on GH GH is most definitely lacking in the love and romance department. No soap can be all sweetness and joy, but they shouldn't be 100% darkness and hate either. It's sad, but there is not one couple on the show right now who I consider completely in love. Relationships don't have to be perfect. In fact, on a soap, they're better when they're not. The problem is, they need to be root-worthy. The pairings we have now are all so depressing and have very few redeeming qualities. Robin/Patrick: They don't seem to like each other, let alone love each other. They're all snark, snark, snark, bicker, bicker, bicker. That's just dysfunctional. Carly/Jax: The sad thing about them is that they could really have something here. There were moments when I did think they were in love, but then there are moments when it's obvious that Sonny/Jason are more important to both of them then there relationship. Jason/Sam: The real Jason Morgan would not be having sex with the woman who acted as an accomplice in his own son's kidnapping and hired gunmen to terrorize the woman he loves in front of her two young boys. And why is Sam having sex with the man who threatened to murder her? This relationship is disgusting on every level. There's no love, liking, and especially no romance to be found here. Liz/Lucky: Lucky obviously doesn't love her or he wouldn't have cheated on her three times, once with her own sister. Liz obviously doesn't love him or she wouldn't have cheated on him twice, once with his own brother. It seems like they're settling for each other just because they've known each other for so long and they're comfortable in a relationship since it's what they know. Lucky will never be her first choice. Liz/Nik: Pure lust. Entertaining and sexy, I'll admit, but not romantic. Sonny: He hasn't had a romance since Brenda. Every other couple he's been a part of is just degrading to the woman involved. This character shouldn't be on a soap opera, he should be on the Sopranos where he can shoot people, betray people, ignore his kids for the most part, and treat women like bed-warmers. |

... This commentary is a fan's opinion. You don't have to agree, but be respectful. I enjoy scrubs and Liason, and liked Lusam. GH is lacking romance as other things seem to be of bigger focus lately, but I am enjoying Dante and Lulu. |

... People will argue Liason vs. Jasam, but the truth of the matter is that both relationships were different and had different dynamics. I personally don't care for this round of Jasam. Sam needs to have her own life away from Jason. Sure, Sam fits the life but there has to be more to a relationship than that. I adored Sam when she was with Lucky, you got to see a person. Liason is natural and fundamental to both characters. Neither character would be...if they hadn't met the other. Jason and Elizabeth are about so much more than Jake and the last 3 years...its about their history, their friendship and their love. Liason love each other for just existing and being. |
