We learned our mistake from last time.....
Summer is here, and in the soap world, that means new pairings, rekindling of old romances and some very unexpected ones. Soap Opera Source wants to know which couples you feel will be a "hit" this summer on "General Hospital."
We selected our list based on:
1) Current storylines
2) Additional Story Information
3) Fan Events
4) Magazine interviews
In doing so, we have selected:

We're sure not everyone will agree with the selections but will be able to express your reasons for why you feel a particular pairing is/should/will be a hit for "General Hospital" at a later time.

Wishing there was other couples in the poll *sigh*
I am not a Liason fan by any means but boy am I happy not to be a Jasam fan because based on these comments alone, wow just wow I would not want to be associated with them. Jasam vs Liason is so annoying and old, give Jason somebody new or put him with Carly the only woman whos ever been able to really hold onto him..13 years and still counting! Endgame baby!!
Now based on the couples above Ill probably either vote for CarJax or Lucky and Elizabeth. Cant stand Spinelli, Maxie should be with Johnny and yeah most the other couples r just definitely not my taste. Scrubs can be cute, but as for Jasam, Spixie, Oliva with Sonny or Johnny, Rebecca with anyone is just BLAH! HATE!!!

I have to go with Patrick & Robin.
Rebecca & Nikolas are creepy, Olivia comes across as a bossy older sister to Sonny (plus they lack romantic chemistry), and Sonny & Claudia are just gross. I'd probably vote for Jax & Carly second.

GH Summer Poll
With the ratings in the tank the question should which couple has gotten GH an all time low rating and if kept together will bring even lower numbers.Hands down the winner is Claw and Sonny--they are so gross that they make you want to vomit.
The Winner by default is Scrubs but if we got to pick who is the most romantic couple it is Sonny and Kate but Frons prefers grossing out viewers with the Claw.

GH's SUMMER HIT couples for "ME" would be Sonny and Kate(ya know His "true love") not these cheap trashy wannabes the show is trying to force Sonny to get with. My second hit couple is Jason and Liz.

I chose Carly and Jax because at least the writers have put some romance in that relationship. My favorite male character is Sonny, but the choices on this list leave me feeling pretty hopeless for him. Claudia is just a vile character and I find that relationship disgusting and offensive. . In my opinion, this pairing has made Sonny look weak and foolish. Sonny and Olivia are just as bad a pairing. Their relationship has no basis, does not make sense, and, therefore, it is unbelievable and unrootable. If Sonny’s character was kept in integrity, Sonny would be pining for Kate, his true love. Sonny and Kate are exciting, sexy, and romantic together. They made me anxious to tune in to see what would be next in their relationship.
TPTB need only to look at the ratings for the summers of 2007 and 2008 to see that the viewers loved Sonny and Kate and then compare them to this summer which Sonny and Claudia and Sonny of Olivia. Obviously Sonny and Claudia are a flop and Sonny and Olivia will not fare much better. No other pairing can match the chemistry of Sonny and Kate.
Give us choices that make us want to watch—Sonny and kate, Jason and Elizabeth, and Johnny and Lulu. Maybe then viewers will want to tune in again.

GH Summer "Hit" Couples are Kate & Sonny along with Liz & Jason. They were definitely the hits of the last two summers and would be hits again in the summer of 2009. The only real couples you have on the list are CarlyJax and RobinPatrick - again proven "hit" couples.

The media pix show Sam yet again half- naked in Jason's arms. It is so sad that TPTB don't feel that Kemo is capable of carrying a storyline on just her acting alone. If she isn't half naked with Jason around no one will give her a second look.
If she is this great lead actress, why don't they give her a good, meaty emotional storyline and give her the chance to knock it out of the ballpark?

As far as I can tell there are only 4 actual couples on there, the others are either past couples or totally speculative. If you're going to include speculative couples, you should include an option for viewers to write in their choice. From the 4 couples that are really options, Sonny/Claudia - horrid; Jax & Carly - a little boring currently; Robin & Patrick - just had a big story; Maxie & Spinelli - not quite a couple, but one the very edge as they HAVE professed their love to each other, but they don't really sizzle. So, I can't really say any of your choices are GH's summer hit pairing. I could not care less about any of the other options, I find them all horrible choices for one reason or another. If I had to chose couples that could be hot, I'd go with Lucky and Rebecca (when she was edgier), or Lucky and Sam, and Jason and Elizabeth.

As far as I can tell, you really only have 4 actual couples on that list to vote for, Sonny and Claudia - horrid, Jax and Carly - I love together but they need something besides Michael, Robin and Patrick - again a great couple, but they just had a big storyline and are currently fairly front and center, and possibly Maxie & Spinelli - who I do like as a couple when they're given a storyline that plays on both characters and actor's strengths. All of the others are speculative or past couples and as such cannot, should not be included based on your own 'criteria' for picking them. I'm not picking any one of them out, I'm saying all of the others are not options. So, my vote goes to Carly and Jax as long as they can get a good, multifaceted storyline. If we're going with couples we'd love to see - it's Jason and Elizabeth -period.

I am really liking Scrubs being front & center! I like that they do not have any third party angst or sleaze! There stories have been really nice but I'd love to see them step up a notch!
If the writers can repair & recapture it, I think Jason & Sam can be good again, but there is still some angst from the past two years that these two have to clean up.
Sonny & Olivia stand out more than Sonny & Claudia. I do like Johnny & Olivia but only for the occasional hot sex. lol. I agree with a previous post, Sonny & Olivia have a past & true feelings that existed for Sonny without knowledge of any kid, who is now a man. This means that the relationship won't be because of a kid or obligations. I think there is much potential there. Good stories can come from it, good hot stories!
Based on what is on screen & what actors have said online or at their PA, I think you made very good choices for your list. It is easy to see where you are getting this from. It's hard to pick just one because there are three or four couples that have potential to raise the roof this summer. I'm okay with Sonny n Olivia because its obvious that Dante/Dom is going to be big starting this summer. He is already a focus. Sonny has more than shown genuine feelings for Olivia, & not just because of a kid. Sonny showed strong feelings for Olivia before he even knows about Dante. This says alot. It is not love or caring because of a kid. I would love to see Sonny & Olivia.
I have no problem with Jason or Sam either because it's obvious the are sharing screen time n story even if Steve hadn't confirmed it. Plus, from reading all around the boards it didn't take a rocket scientist to come to the conclusion that they needed to wait for that outside Vegas project to be over before delving in.
Just to add, I do think Jolivia can bring the HOTNESS, but I need Olivia for Sonny in the end.
As far as Rebecca & Nik, I see why they are on but not Ethan & Becca. It's obvious here to who the Root for couple is. That would be Nem pt2.

GH couples
At this time GH has no couples I am interested in. Scrubs are boring, Liz and Lucky are like siblings, Jason and Sam are Gross, why they are even writing her around him is beyond me.Sonny and Claudia have some chemistry but she is pretty vile to.I don't think Sonny and Olivia have any character chemistry at all. John and Olivia are alright for a romp in the sheets, but they aint no couple. Spinelli and Maxie are not watchable IMO. Carly and Jax are just there Nic and Rebecca are like watching the tumor story. So my vote on you couples poll for GH is they need to make a new list.

I can see that some people have an issue with Jason and Sam being on this poll, and I thank you for including them. I assume that you might have spoilers that are unknown to the public that supports your decision to include them in this poll. As someone mentioned Sonny and Olivia are not a couple but there are upcoming scenes that once aired will be obvious why they are included in the poll, as is Jason and Sam.
