This week marks the end of the longest running drama in television history. After 72 years and over 15,700 episodes on Friday, September 18, 2009, "Guiding Light" will air its final episode. To say that we'll simply miss "Guiding Light" would be a tremendous understatement. This has been a show that entertained millions for decades, spanning multiple mediums and striving to be ahead of the curve.

Earlier tonight, "60 Minutes" aired a segment looking back at the history of "Guiding Light," featuring interviews with its stars over the years, including Kim Zimmer (Reva), Robert Newman (Josh), Beth Chamberlain (Beth), Peter Simon (Ed), Michael O'Leary (Rick), Ron Raines (Alan), Frank Dicopoulos (Frank), executive producer Ellen Wheeler and headwriter Jill Lorie Hurst.

For those unable to view the segment, or for those who just want to watch, Soap Opera Source has provided you with clips of the segment that aired tonight.
