Guiding Light Invades Universal Studios

"Guiding Light" is holding an open casting call at Universal CityWalk on Saturday, March 7. The show is hiring actors and non-actors of all ages, types, ethnicities and gender to appear as extras and/or small speaking parts on the soap.

Guiding Light star Murray Bartlett (Cyrus) and casting director Rob Decina will hold the open casting session for talent for the show's location taping involving Daniel Cosgrove (Bill) and Marcy Rylan (Lizzie) at the Orlando Resort later this month. Bill and Lizzie are attempting to rekindle their love, so Bill wants to give Lizzie the childhood she never had as a Spaulding.

Also: Those looking to watch live tapings of the show can do so from March 16-20 at various locations at the Universal Orlando theme parks.
The cast will also host special autograph sessions for fans and are set to appear on the float in the Mardi Gras parade on Saturday, March 21.

I can't believe I missed this. I have been a Guiding Light fan for over 20 years and live only 1 hour from Orlando. I just read that they were here and I missed it (darn!) Wish it was advertised better.

guiding light open casting call

why do the auditions have to be in just orlando..as you can see --in this economy can afford to go to orlando well except for the snooty white collars.

NEwayz why can't they travel around to hold the auditions that way. and they can provide airfare and everything--i am just saying that i really really really really really really want to audition and this is an opportunity that is knocking my way , but the door is going to shut completely soon!..i really just want to audition but i have no way of getting there ( to orlando OR you can say that i am from a blue collar family, i'm a drape, not a saquare a drape!) so please take the suggestion)
